Dansk-Canadian settler living as an uninvited guest on the occupied homelands and waters of the Hul'q'umi'num speaking Quw'utsun Mustimuhw (People of Quw'utsun) in what has been briefly and colonially known as the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Communications specialist with a strong background in environmental and social communications. My hope is to approach storytelling in a way that is deeply relational, grounded in a comprehensive understanding of contextual and place-based nuances. I am committed to (un)learning and am dedicated to implementing a trauma-informed lens. My experiences in food security and conservation agriculture, land-based education, community-centered research, and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives have fostered in me a profound respect for the natural world and a deep commitment to advocate for social and environmental justice.Expertise in: Community-Centered Communications | Design Consultation | Web Design and Branding | Grant Writing | Organizational Development | Program Design and Facilitation | Program Management | Research and Education | Community Engagement and Outreach | Analog Drawing and Graphic Design | Tools most used: Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Google Analytics, HTML, CSS, Office 365, G Suite, Slack, Airtable, Mailchimp, Acuity.
