While Red Sea corals are peculiarly resistant to increasing temperature and acidifying conditions, they must be protected from local stressors, such as plastic pollution, to survive. This experience awoke my mission to support professionals like you, who want to drive waste reduction at their company in order to limit the stress we apply on precious environments like the ocean. Education is the starting point for waste reduction or any sustainable action. It is hard for people to care and understand the necessity for action when they do not know what’s at stake. Through the Impact Game, which I have developed for this purpose, I raise awareness of the issue of waste, its impact on nature and our ability to contribute to an improvement. Once people are informed, they will typically want to act. This is where Empower, the second pillar of my framework, comes to play.
