Helped develop City's Sustainable Neighborhoods Framework which is currently being implemented through the Balboa Reservoir Master Plan.

• As part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers, developed the theoretical framework and methodology for conducting a multi- year community-rooted climate pilot project.• Developed and translated interview instrument for institutional and community interviews about local climate change perceptions and adaptation strategies.• Conducted and/or transcribed interviews with government officials and residents of rural and peri-urban communities to inform a locally relevant climate research agenda.

● Researches pertinent planning issues such as land value recapture models, affordable housing, and anti-displacement strategies to inform specific area plan development and promote inclusive development.● Analyzes local land use development standards to streamline city’s density policies for new development. ● Assists with content production and community outreach for specific-plan public meetings and workshops.

● Led organization’s equity strategy by securing funding ($90,000 from the Wells Fargo Foundation) to develop a 5-year comprehensive community plan to guide equitable and inclusionary development in Central Baltimore. ● Managed every stage of planning process by developing project schedule and deliverables, managing over 60 volunteers, collecting, analyzing and presenting primary and secondary data to key stakeholders (over 100) and producing interim and final plan content. ● Conducted community outreach and organized interdisciplinary workgroups of experts (including residents, city and state government, academic institutions, health and social service providers, and small businesses) leading to stakeholder buy-in and long-term commitment to plan implementation. Coalition Builder (November 2015-May 2016)● Facilitated key stakeholder relationships and researched background content to inform concerted strategies that addressed public safety, public health and small businesses retention and development in Central Baltimore, elevating local challenges to the city and state level and serving as model for community mobilization and stakeholder cooperation. ● Liaised between community and business groups and city and state government on a variety of quality of life and capital improvement issues leading to advancement of revitalization efforts such as Baltimore City’s commitment of $130,000 to improve pedestrian lighting on a key commercial corridor.

● Spearheaded 2 two-week long dental health projects in Thailand by coordinating all project logistics, including managing team of 15 dental health professionals. Project provided free preventative dental care and dental health education to 300 children and adults. ● Supported organizational development through donor management, fundraising and grant writing including securing $18,000 in grant funds from the International College of Dentists Foundation to purchase dental equipment for organization’s permanent dental clinic in Southern Thailand. ● Managed organization’s internship program and assisted in organizational strategic planning and program evaluation.

● Lived with and taught 16 Burmese refugee students practical skills for Community Mobilization, Project Planning and Organizational Management. ● Developed teaching curriculum, lesson plans and activities with a focus on peace building, nonviolent conflict resolution and self-determination. ● Guided students in developing a community needs-assessment survey tool leading to the creation of a capacity building workshop focused on human rights laws with an attendance of 50 participants from the local community.

● Translated and compiled report analyzing current confidence and security building measures and recommending new measures in the context of Latin America.● Assisted the Chief of the Confidence and Security Building Measures’ section of the IADB Secretariat in developing material for workshops on Haiti’s first White Paper on defense measures.● Drafted proposal to create a partnership for the exchange of best practices regarding security-building measures with regional organizations including the African Union commission, the ASEAN Regional Forum and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
