Worked on various projects as needed within the Department of Arts and Culture between October 2019 and June 2020, and again between March 2021 to present. I was an exhibition coordinator for "Clothing the Pandemic," a virtual exhibition in conjunction with ICOM Costume that contextualizes the use of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was responsible for organizing the object list, attending planning meetings, organizing and gathering digital content/exhibition materials. I was also a main point of contact for curators from 15 collaborating institutions around the world. Other tasks have included: cataloguing objects for museum records and online database, assisting with research, and assisting with various documentation, including one funding proposal package that helped secure over $6,000 to acquire two Christian Lacroix couture ensembles for the ROM's collection.

As an entertainment writer for HuffPost, I was responsible for researching, pitching and publishing between 4 and 6 stories a day. Working with my team, I was able to create shareable content that contributes to the growth of the site (page views/unique visitors). In this role, I had the opportunity to speak with celebrities and other prominent figures, which helped me refine my skills as an interviewer. Other responsibilities included interacting with publicists, editing peer stories and monitoring site stats.

My responsibilities in this role include writing/posting about 3-4 stories a day plus managing the the StyleList Canada Twitter account. I conduct daily news scans and do plenty of SEO research with my team to define the best content for the site. As an intern for the Public Art Program, I was responsible for administrative tasks, researching, creating labels for artworks and helping with exhibitions if needed. My main project for the semester was to update the web content about the public artworks around the city’s public transit stations. My final research paper focused on art in public spaces and how it contributes to a community’s identity.

Plaid Magazine was a Canadian publication focused on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and design. As a contributor I wrote articles for both the print and online versions of the magazine. My most recent article, Get to Know: Thieves, can be found in the Winter 2012 print issue.

FLARE is one of Canada’s most recognized fashion magazines, and as a fashion intern my job included assisting on photo shoots, keeping track of the incoming and outgoing clothes in the closet, and writing various blog postings for the online component to the magazine. I was also responsible for administrative tasks, such as arranging for couriers, coordinating the mailing lists, sending emails and making phone calls.

As an editorial intern I was in charge of various administrative tasks, including organizing the mock-up binder, fact checking and researching. I also have a blog post published on the website, titled Heavy Metal. I helped with tasks for sister publications, VMan and Visionaire when needed as well.
