The Urban Future Lab (UFL) is collaborating with Innovate UK on their Global Incubator Programme (GIP) which brings promising startups from the UK to locations around the world. As a Program Manager, I assist with the design of the curriculum for the cleantech UK startups that are attempting to break in to the NY market. I also conduct regular check-ins with the startups to monitor their progress with customer discovery and provide additional connections.

The NYSERDA EIR program provides one-on-one expert guidance to climatech startups located in or providing significant benefit to NYS. As a program manager, I assist in recruiting, matching, and monitoring individual projects to ensure that the right person is matched with a startup to create and meet a set of specific project deliverables. As part of that program, I also assist startups with finding c-suite talent (CXOs) to fill critical positions on the management team that will help the team scale more quickly.

Creating a new accelerator or entrepreneurial program can be difficult, especially if the program managers are new to the lean startup methodology. I assist in teaching programs for non-profits as well as corporations to get the most out of the participants. While I am available to teach cohorts at any time, I also can help train the program managers on best practices for designing curricula and running an early-stage accelerator program for future cohorts.

I led the design for an application called The Translational Science Program (TSP) to the US EDA's Build for Scale program. TSP would assist early-stage biotech entrepreneurs in New Jersey with validating their business model and identifying resources to assist with the required technical development. I also led the launch of the Center for Translational Neuroscience's (CTN) webinar series with the first session called Opportunities in Neuroscience that was presented by the NJ Academic Drug Discovery Consortium (NJADD).

PowerBridgeNY is a clean technology proof-of-concept center designed to commercialize technologies coming out of one of 6 partner institutions in the downstate New York region. The Center is a combination of two separate $5 million grants from NYSERDA, one given to the Columbia University team and the other to NYU-Poly team. As the Program Associate, I am responsible for organizing the implementation of the Center and managing its day-to-day operations. As a center, we provide funding, mentorship, and educational events to research teams who want to commercialize their technology based on university IP. Our goal is to generate more and healthier cleantech startups in downstate New York.In addition to the core program, PBNY also supports Hacking for Energy, a graduate-level class designed to solve real-world energy problem. Students select a problem submitted by an Industry Host and spend a semester developing a functioning solution to the problem and investigating the possibility of commercializing that solution through a startup using the Lean LaunchPad methodology.

I was responsible for interpreting the statistical data coming from a survey of the residents of the a new LEED Silver dorm at George Washington's Mount Vernon campus. I then outlined 3 separate papers based on the statistical analysis, focusing on perceptions about green buildings and how the students' views change or didn't change based on their experience in living in a LEED building.
