When I was at college I worked in this position where I helped prepare fruits and other foods for the residents. I served them food and cleaned in the kitchen/ dining areas when not preparing meals.

In this role, I gave different presentations to guests or school groups about the different animals and activities at the Farmpark. Besides this, I would clean, feed, and care for the different animals including dairy cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, and rabbits. Also, I assisted other staff members in various jobs throughout the park. I held this position when home for breaks from school.

I was an intern in the farrowing barn and assisted with giving shots, feeding the animals, farrowing, and weaning. I also occasionally worked in the nursery where I made sure all piglets were well and treated them if they were not, as well as switching feed lines over when the piglets needed to begin eating other feed.

Through an internship class at my high school, I was able to intern at the LMP Environmental Learning Center for five hours each week. Throughout my time here, I assembled two augmented reality trails for guests to use when walking on two of the main trails and this park. Also, I was able to sit in and help staff when elementary schools would come for field trips. I would act as a staff member and assist any of the children with the science experiments present.
