I assisted in the capture and trapping of mountain lions using tracking dogs, cage traps, satellite trackers and radio trackers in order to fit the lions with radio collars. I used ArcGIS software to identify mountain lion feeding locations using a clustering algorithm based on the GPS locations and times provided by the radio collared lions. I followed through by visiting the feeding areas identified by the algorithm to record data on the age, size, and type of prey animals.
