I have worked as the Executive Director of Highland County Community Action Agency, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, for over 35 years while raising seven children and remaining an active member of the community. I also serve as an Internal Consultant for the Ohio Community Action Training Organization as an industry expert supporting peer organizations across the state with training and technical assistance. As the Executive Director of HCCAO, I lead an organization with an operating budget of over $12,000,000 employing 125+ individuals. Our organization provides a variety of services throughout the region including Housing Management/Development, Early Childhood Education, WIC, Utility Assistance, Congregate and Home Delivered Meals for Seniors, Rehabilitation, Recycling, Health and Utility Assistance as well as Ohio Means Jobs employment program. As an internal consultant, I specialize in working with boards and staff to improve internal operations and build organizational capacity to encourage growth. I assist in development Strategic Plans and providing board and customer training. I am committed to advocating for those in need and serving as a VOICE, not an ECHO.
