I am a third-year student at Virginia Tech majoring in Computational Modeling & Data Analytics with a concentration in Economics. I have been a part of two research positions, one of which is here at VT. I served as a research assistant in botany under Dr. Janet Steven at Christopher Newport University starting in August 2021. I currently work in the College of Engineering in the IDPro program as a part of the Sentivity team. We use logistic regression to identify and predict negative sentiment on Reddit, and our goal is to publish a research paper and a web extension for users to filter out negative posts on their social media.I am experienced with several programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, C, and MATLAB. I am open to work in both remote and on-site internships.
