I formed Felice Information Design to help professionals in science, education, and public health to communicate important information with clarity, beauty, and impact. I provide specialized design services that are informed by rigorous education, training, and experience in professional science as well as 20 years of experience teaching, mentoring, and communicating across a wide range of audiences. Through this work, I am committed to amplifying ideas and voices that further knowledge and promote justice within and across fields and communities.

As the Engagement Specialist within the Intergroup Dialogue Project, my key responsibilities included: • Working with other members of the IDP leadership team to develop new opportunities for campus leaders in diversity, faculty, student-facing staff, and students to engage in meaningful, inclusive educational processes• Leveraging STEM background to optimize curriculum for a STEM audience, including design of informative graphics and presentations• Creating visual digital and print resources detailing practical strategies for implementing dialogue in professional settings• Providing direct weekly coaching to undergraduate facilitators as well as consultation and support to Cornell staff and faculty working to create inclusive communities for their undergraduate students• Co-designing and co-facilitating 3 extended courses for faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdocs as well as 5 workshop series tailored to faculty in STEM academic units• Creating practical resources detailing strategies for implementing dialogue in professional settings

The Division of Nutritional Sciences (DNS) houses one of the largest and most complex undergraduate programs at Cornell, with >700 students across 4 majors and 3 Colleges. My responsibilities in this role included: Some of my key responsibilities in this role included: • Program management and communication - Leading and coordinating DNS academic programs and advising; communicating key policies and information to students, staff, and faculty across the University, including the design, dissemination, and digitization of a comprehensive program guide • Student advising and advisor training - Leading the provision of student advising and the training of faculty and peer advisors; developing visual resources to support and enrich student advising and faculty advisor training, e.g. video tutorials, communication guides, and a learning management system-based hub of information and resources• Mentorship in research and scientific communication - Directing the DNS Undergraduate Research Honors Program (~10-15 graduates annually), with mentorship in visual, oral, and written communication of science• Curriculum development and evaluation - Leading the DNS Curriculum Committee, using quantitative and qualitative data to set and meet priorities; participating in relevant College- and University-level curriculum committees; creating relevant graphics and written materials for communication and collaboration

In this role, I combined my research training, educator experience, and design skills to develop, design, and pilot-test a multi-module online course for health professionals about pregnancy and early life nutrition. Responsibilities included primary authorship of course content and assessments, conception and design of infographics and video, construction of the online learning management system, and project team management.

At Cornell, I redesigned and led two semester-long seminars in academic and career development and delivered a range of guest lectures. Lecturing highlights are listed below:• NS 3980 Research in Human Nutrition and Health: This seminar provided research-oriented upperclassmen a broad introduction to the professional practice and communication of science. Key topics included effective scientific communication across visual, written, and oral platforms, planning and organizing for collaborative, effective, ethical research, developing research questions, and searching and evaluating relevant literature.• “Managing (What Feels Like) Chaos.” Invited by the Neurodiversity Dialogues group at Cornell to deliver a workshop, practical strategies, and resources for organizing information, tasks, and time. December 2022. • “Inequity and Injustice: Understanding Poor Perinatal and Postpartum Outcomes among Black Mothers and Their Infants in the U.S.” Invited by Partners in Health Engage at Cornell as part of Black Maternal Health Week events. April 2019.• “Policy Development: The Second Core Function of Government in Public Health.” In NS 4500 Public Health Nutrition, Dr. Kathleen Rasmussen. March 2012.

In this role, I combined my expertise in statistics and nutrition with my skills in organization, data visualization, and design to 1) assess the nutritional adequacy of the Indian national food supply given population needs and 2) develop and deliver graphics, presentations, and print reports of key findings for program leadership, stakeholders, and funders.

Taught high school biology, geometry, and algebra at college-preparatory, core, and remedial levels in tracked and inclusive classrooms. Students ranged in age from 14 - 19 years, and were diverse in background and ability. Served as academic mentor to twelve students. Skills included lesson planning for a diverse audience, public speaking, group management, and collaboration with other educators.
