I am the Executive Director and Co-Founder of 10C Shared Space, a Guelph-based non-profit changemaking hub now celebrating 15 years! Working with long-term community benefit as my core purpose, I've led 10C through 15 years of innovation, expanding into new project areas and providing a voice for valuable community content – and action. With a passion for social financing, and the belief that Smart Communities Invest in themselves, I lead the team of innovators who are building Harvest Impact, a place-based social financing fund investing in entrepreneurial responses to the circular economy.As a community steward within the Catalyst Community Finance Initiative, I work within and across networks to advocate for shared tools, techniques and infrastructure to truly ramp up place-based social financing across Ontario and Canada. Project and Social Entrepreneur Support - I love local products with stories and community connection. I have a great aptitude for asking people questions that help them consider their next steps or dots to connect. I'm a big picture thinker who likes to make connections between problems and align to possible solutions. My design thinking brain likes to think about data, and see systems in a complex multi-layered way. On the personal side, I strive for authenticity and prefer deep open conversations. I have an ability to help others find their strengths by embracing their weaknesses. I have decades of experience as an entrepreneur on small teams and know the feeling of having it all on your shoulders, so I can assist with the fortitude and need for self-care necessary on an entrepreneurial journey.I am passionate about people, community building and demonstrating the potential of social finance and social enterprise, as 10C continues to explore locally relevant changemaking projects. I hold placemaking, visual design, storytelling, and project planning as among my super-powers. I love anything to do with beer, coffee or maple syrup. My blindspot is exponential scaling.
