Following a successful career in industry, Julia founded her first business North West Childcare in 1999 (now trading as Harris Childcare Recruitment) after looking for a nanny for her own children and finding herself unsatisfied with the standard of help available. Julia then set up The Housekeeper Company, specialising in providing housekeepers and other domestic staff to clients nationwide. This then led to the launch of The Carer Company, providing companion/carers in households.
