Building upon the work as a Creative Strategist, I bring a clear understanding of consumer, brand, business, category, culture and channel and distill it to a relevant set of objectives. Acting as an extension of your marketing team, I help construct an ownable brand strategy that sets a path for the creative team. From research and insight to design and execution, I act as a collaborative partner, proactively seeking ways to help your brand and business.

As a Creative Strategist, I transform marketing goals into a creative objective that sets a strategic course for creative ideas and design. I am responsible for the research, strategic grounding, and key insights phases that lead to actionable solutions, as well as the articulation of cultural and competitive trends that give brands relevancy and consumer engagement. I work closely with creative teams to ensure strategic outcomes and compelling creative work is presented and executed to meet business goals. I pay particularly close attention to the strategic use of design in creating communication campaigns and brand strategies, and the changes/trends happening in the world.

Founded in 1977 as the Minnesota Graphic Designers Association (MGDA), AIGA Minnesota is one of the largest AIGA chapters in the nation, serving members in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. AIGA Minnesota is the first place to turn for inspiration, professional development, and excellence in design in Minnesota. Our mission is to advance design as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force. We encourage the exchange of ideas and information among professionals involved in design and other related fields.

I served as key business liaison for our largest client accounts, including General Mills, Heinz, 3M. I managed and execute projects from kick off to final delivery, ensuring that clients are receiving the highest level of service, value and creative thinking from the agency. I provided top-level client contact, resolved any problems or complaints clients may have, and maintained solid client relationships. As a recognized expert in the client’s business, including business goals and objectives, products, markets, industry, distribution, etc., I was able to implement proactive and strategic thinking to best serve the client and agency to ensure final product is profitable and effective. Day to day responsibilities included directing and overseeing the creative and production teams to ensure that client deliverables are met accurately, on time and on budget.
