I've completed a Departmental Honors Thesis where I investigated the differential expression and essentiality of flagellar biosynthesis genes within a △Lon mutant Caulobacter crescentus. This research provided key insight on the robustness of the organism, as well as how this model organism maintains genetic networks for synthetic lethal interactions which is beneficial in studies exploiting epistasis within tumors. - Presented Departmental Honors Thesis at the Massachusetts Research Conference- Central work focused on investigating the differential expression, transposon mutagenesis, and synthetic lethality of flagellar and flagellar related genes in the absence of the Lon protease- Characterized and interpreted RNAseq, TNseq, metabolomic, and proteomic genomic libraries for Caulobacter crescentus and △lon strains- Utilized R environment to perform statistical analyses as well as other databases such as STRING, Bedtools, Samtools, R studio, and BWA to further understand and dissect data.
