Serving Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL)'s mission to inspire personal independence by providing exciting and challenging outdoor recreational opportunities to Southeast Alaskans who experience disabilities. My role ranges from planning adaptive cycling outings, to facilitating a multi-day excursions, to providing guided ski instruction. As an Outdoor Recreation and Community Access (ORCA) specialist, I am the point person for designing, implementing and executing activities for a diverse group of participants. Alongside the team at SAIL, I work to make the outdoors more accessible, equitable and empowering so everyone can have the chance to explore their limits and make healthy, independent choices.

Served as an Americorps member for American Conservation Experience as part of the EPIC division's National Park Service Academy. Assisted with rehabilitating and maintaining the following trail related structures: wooden bridges, log cribbing and steps, water bars and culverts, stone retaining walls, and stone steps. Transported a variety of materials and tools to and around job sites. Used a variety of hand and power tools including but not limited to: various hammers, shovels, stone tools, rock bars, digging tools, cut-off saws, grinders, drill presses, and backpack leaf blowers.Also shadowed other departments within Acadia National Park including the GIS department, roads crew/maintenance, vegetation, wildlife biology, and fire crew.

Provided students and the McGill community with free menstrual products. Successfully secured funding of $50,000 CAD from the Sustainability Project Fund to purchase reusable and sustainable menstrual products. Received Community Building Award in 2023 and Committee of the Year in 2024. Filled bathrooms in various buildings across campus with pads and tampons. Worked on pilot programs such as monthly period product distributions. Coordinated with companies to implement new or upgraded services to buildings. Expanded services to other buildings on campus including student residences. Promoted education of menstrual equity and access.

Conducted comprehensive research focusing on the socio-economic impacts of urban renewal and highway expansion within predominantly Black communities across the United States. Developed and implemented code for the standardization and analysis of addresses from the 1940s, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data interpretation. Identified and cataloged historical addresses listed in the Green Book. Adapted and digitized historical maps of 1940s census tracts. Utilized Python for data processing and analysis, ArcGIS Pro for mapping, and Adobe Illustrator for the visualization and presentation of historical maps.

Student led summer, fall, and winter markets. Hired vendors from Montréal with focus on local and indigenous businesses. Managed all necessary equipment rentals and permits, coordinated, set, and cleaned-up of each market with volunteers. Communicated and organized with building and campus services, vendors, and stakeholders. Distributed community supported agriculture baskets.

Worked with school of computer science undergrads under Dr. David Rolnick. Assisted in research on abandoned oil wells in Alberta, Canada to create a data learning machine to predict oil well locations to be cleaned up. Wrote code to create buffers around well geographic coordinates. Assessed status of wells through python, Google Earth Pro, and QGIS.

The Park Adoption Community Center provides accessible adoption engagement opportunities that inspire communities to create effective support systems for adoptees and their families. Programming is aimed at creating healthy connections, youth empowerment, identity affirmation and resilience, cultural competency, and community engagement.Created social media content (Instagram, Facebook) promoting The Park’s various events and services. Used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere Lightroom, and Canva.
