School Based Apprenticeship And Traineeship Officer

The role provides support to educational services staff and school staff in the promotion, establishment, monitoring, and maintenance of School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs). Develop, in consultation with the Operational Directorate and school staff, training plans where the school is the delivery site for the formal training component of a school-based traineeship. Ensure the provision of the original training plan to the relevant Australian Apprenticeship Centre, and provide a copy to the student, their parent, and home school. Establish and maintain an office file on each SBAT and provide data on newly established SBATs to Departmental staff responsible for vocational education. Liaise with Senior Pathways Advisors and Officers, school representatives, and other stakeholders to develop and implement promotional strategies for SBATs.Monitor reporting obligations to employers and trainees, where a school is the delivery site for the formal training component. Advise Senior Pathways Officers on all contentious issues related to local SBATs. Promote and market-specific SBATs to employers, students, schools, and parents. Provide information and advice to RTOs in the development of training plans for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Visit/contact each trainee and employer at regular intervals during the school-based term of the SBAT to monitor progress and reporting obligations and to identifyAssist in the organisation of student/parent/school employer interviews during the establishment of an SBAT.Create and present with other team members a presentation on SBAT's to various stakeholders.Linking with employers, students, and schools SBAT opportunities. In Moree, I was able to do this with Moree Plains Shire Council, SR Accountants, and Reece Plumbing.Creating and presenting training and procedures for School SBAT's and Career Advisors sessions on how-to's.Recruiting process of students for the Elsa Dixon program.
