The Purpose Collective is a digital marketing consulting firm that implements communications strategies for purpose-driven organizations to more effectively tell their story and engage their audience, resulting in more revenue for their cause. I manage clients’ social media presence across platforms, including maintaining a regular posting frequency, designing infographics, creating videos, implementing ads, and writing engaging captions with compelling calls-to-action. I also write copy and design clients’ websites, blog, print resources, and email marketing communications with a focus on providing value to the reader.

Co-instructed month-long canoeing and backpacking expeditions for at-risk youth in the Boundary Waters with a curriculum focused on challenge, leadership, and personal development. Taught lessons about communication tools and conflict resolution strategies, and facilitated their successful everyday use. Held conferences between guardians and students following the completion of their courses, focusing on how to transfer skills learned to life at home.

Created daily content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and website blog to highlight the organization's impact and share the stories of the local community. Worked with a team to create a dynamic social media strategy that grew the organization’s following by 2600% over five years. Served as the liaison between the US and Nepal teams. Supported the development team with donor stewardship and designing fundraising campaigns. Planned itineraries and organized logistics for donor visits to the project site, including over 30 major gift donors for the Grand Opening of Kopila Valley School.

Past roles: Treasurer, Gear Manager, Trip Leader Led the largest club on campus (900 active members) as the primary point of contact and direction for club officers, trip leaders, BU administration, club members, and club alumni. Managed revenue funds and budget requests; secured $5,000 worth of University funding for gear. Designed and implemented improved safety protocol using first aid kits and medical waivers. Secured $2,000 of University funding for a Wilderness First Aid training course required for all trip leaders. Planned and led hiking and camping trips throughout New England.

Created content for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media accounts. Managed a garden project with 20 women at the Kopila Valley Women’s Center. Led a nutrition initiative at the Women’s Center that included healthy eating workshops, a menu redesign, and a kitchen sanitation project.

Created digital content for website, newsletter, and social media to engage and attract local and international volunteers. Assisted with volunteer management and leadership of trail crews. Recorded data in order to track results and measure program success.

Researched business social initiatives for published case study for introductory Business Ethics course required for all freshman students. Explored employment law in the context of social media and victims of domestic violence. Created PowerPoint presentations to supplement textbook chapters.

Processed donations, prepared monthly reports, and supported donor acknowledgement and community outreach programs. Co-led a team of 30 triathletes in NJ State Triathlon to raise $14,000 for the Kopila Valley Children's Home and School in Surkhet, Nepal. Created a press packet for media inquiries.
