First and foremost I love building businesses, developing winning teams and the challenge of building and improving businesses so they maximize their potential. I learnt early to embrace accountability and responsibility. My business development skills are matched with well honed leadership experience that has included business transformations, start up's, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions . Much of my experience is in Business leadership, particularly companies that offer complex solutions to customers problems, professional services consulting and more recently into the consumer or public space. My work experience and personal network is global - across much of Asia Pacific, the USA and more recently Western Europe.A lot of my career has been in leadership roles with multinational technology companies where we operated in existing markets (e.g. Australia) and started from scratch in new markets (e.g. India & Thailand) . These experiences have exposed me to a wide variety of people and cultures and I pride myself on the role I've played in bringing sometimes disparate teams together for great success. Success that has endured once I moved on.On top of my managerial and operational responsibilities, for some years I've been a Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors as my governance interest have grown. This has provided me with further insight into public company governance and leadership.The last few years has given me and my team the opportunity to first save and then reinvent a failing business. Originally laden with debt, serial under performance and no prospects we now have a business that is growing internationally because the team are solving customers problems.Our company works with the worlds largest retailer on projects ranging from vertically integrated supply chain business strategy for fresh perishables to retail products. The team have created solutions that replace existing single use non-recyclable solutions that are attracting interest around the world, leading to the establishment of USA and UK based subsidiaries. Innovation we are bringing to the seafood industry will hasten the demise of the hugely polluting and wasteful EPS fish box.Personally I believe my track record supports my claims of adaptability, thirst to learn, focus and energy.
