I am a music educator and composer who specializes in teaching about life through music. This process requires me to think abstractly and work through hard-to-solve problems in diverse team environments. Patience, persistence and effective communication skills are paramount in interactions with students, staff, parents and partners.I love working on big and small projects, from organization of a fundraising effort all the way to designing, writing, staffing and instructing show; this project can be multiple years. As director of Standley Lake Percussion, over two seasons I led a team that took the program from almost last-in-class to top-of-class.My years of experience within the pageantry arts have taught me how to follow a project through from the moment of creation all the way to the last performance, and work with my peers to implement and instruct so the performers reach their highest level.
