Im modernen internationalen Fußball ist man viel unterwegs. Man lernt spannende Menschen aus aller Welt kennen, schätzt deren Kulturen und spricht deren Sprachen. Es ist eine glamouröse Welt – und für mich bis heute ein großes Privileg, dass ich all das erleben darf. Geprägt hat mich in all der Zeit aber vor allem ein Ort: das Ruhrgebiet. Ich liebe meine Heimat, die Menschen dort. Ihre direkte und bodenständige Art. Zu Hause zu sein ist für mich bis heute etwas Besonderes. Mir ist wichtig, mich dort aktiv einzubringen: Vereine in Gladbeck zu unterstützen, mit Freunden Unternehmen zu gründen, oder einfach vor Ort zu sein und den Pott genießen.Das, was ich im Fußball bisher gelernt habe, und das, was ich in meinen Projekten abseits des Platzes lerne, möchte ich hier nun mit euch teilen – um am Ende auch wieder Neues zu erfahren. In Diskussionen über lokale Start-Ups, globale Aktien oder warum es so wichtig ist, Organisationen wie UNICEF zu unterstützen. #JDX---In modern international football, you travel a lot, you meet exciting people from all over the world, appreciate their cultures and speak their languages. It's a glamorous world - and for me it's still a great privilege to be able to experience all that.However, one place in particular has shaped me over all this time: das Ruhrgebiet. I love my home, the people there. Their direct and down-to-earth nature. Being at home is still something special for me today. It is important to me to be actively involved there: Supporting clubs in Gladbeck, starting businesses with friends, or simply being local and enjoying the Pott.What I have learned in football so far, and what I learn in my projects off the pitch, I would like to share with you here now - to learn something new again.
