My main selling technique would be explaining to the customer, they are essentially paying for the product already.Key learning points from this role would've been the use of sales psychology, e.g body language, tones of voices and the ability to maintain motivation and positivity past rejection. Predominantly, I held the role in which I had the most experience in as a Tour Guide of the famous college backs of Cambridge, providing informative and entertaining tours of one of the oldest universities and most popular tourist attractions in the area. This allowed me to build on my communication skills, both one-way and two-way to build rapport with customers and provide the best possible service to customers, often visiting the city for the day and leave a positive lasting impression. Due to my experience in many areas, from holding a supervisory role for my previous employer I would often assist in whichever area of the business may be short of/needed additional assistance. These circumstances often arose due to the unpredictability of the tourism industry. These alternative roles included Cashier, where I would handle all payments and organise tours to make sure no delays occur and deal with enquiries.
