Twice, in November 2023 and February 2024, I had the privilege of co-training in Hotelschool The Hague's Leadership Lab. This innovative four-day program, which takes place in the Ardennes in Belgium, focuses on helping students develop their leadership skills which they will apply in their upcoming MO (Managing an Outlet) Block at Hotelschool The Hague. In order to emphasize practical learning, leadership in action, and the skill of providing and receiving constructive feedback, my position involved observing and mentoring a group of twelve students through a variety of practical and theoretical assignments.

As the F&B Director for the TEDx event at Hotelschool The Hague, I specialize in crafting and executing innovative food and beverage experiences aligned with the event's theme for around 140 guests.Developing the F&B Concept: Collaborating with the Head Chef to create a concept that aligns with the event's theme and speakers.Organizing Beverages and Recipes: Handling all aspects of beverage selection and creating unique recipes.Bar Concept Coordination: Overseeing the bar setup and identifying responsible personnel.Securing F&B Sponsors: Finding sponsors for items like beer and wine, and maintaining sponsor communications.Mise-en-Place Preparation: Creating a detailed list of all required plates, glasses, etc., and ordering additional items as needed.Pre-Event Dinner Organization: Arranging a dinner for speakers and the team.
