Responsible for licensing content for Disney+ service via UK, multi-territory, and regional deals.Built extensive and strong relationships with all majors, mini-majors and independent distributors to provide Disney with great visibility in the marketplace and ensuring top content is presented to the business at early stages. Negotiated with a wide range of content providers, hand-in-hand with relevant internal stakeholders, achieving best possible terms for the business and setting up deal templates for subsequent deal amendments.

Devised, built and managed on an ongoing basis ‘The Disney+ Content Watchlist’, a bi-weekly editorial newsletter highlighting key upcoming titles for the EMEA Disney leadership team. Participated in EMEA Monthly Content Briefing, presenting major titles to 800+ colleagues across the regionDelivered the best possible content mix and strategies with an eye on short, medium and long term development and growth of the service, made more challenging due to actors and writers strikesSupported the building & maintaining EMEA editorial plans in all relevant systems & documents

Working in collaboration with content owners including National Geographic, Fox and independent producers, across the world to bring in programming for distribution. Strong relationships and a high level of organisation are required ensure content is available for the division to license. Pitching programmes on a regular basis to the sales team to ensure they are armed with as much knowledge as possible to increase revenue and profit. Assessing programme projects from producers on an editorial level to help guide National Geographic and Fox commissioners.

Responsible for TV and VOD license agreements in UK, Nordics, Asia & Africa regions. Worked in collaboration with sales team on format and distribution agreements.Negotiation of legal and commercial aspects of all agreements to gain maximum content protection and financial benefit. Close management of global retransmission royalties’ vendor, resolving conflicts in the best interests of the company, resulting in frequent additional revenue. Oversaw the renewal and expansion of the company’s E&O policy to incorporate the growing catalogues of National Geographic and Fox.

Responsible for TV and VOD license agreements in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, USA, Latin America and Spain & Portugal.Worked on the introduction of sport license agreements into Business and Legal Affairs. Implemented the approval process, rights tracking management and invoicing process for sports deals, which had previously been managed locally in each region. This same process was replicated for scripted and regional Fox licenses.Super User of Media Maestro and Jaguar (rights and finance management systems): Input complex licenses, acquisitions and amendments, as well as training and mentoring of sales team, business affairs colleagues and new starters in systems.
