As a member of the Leadership team, the objective of this new role was to establish, lead and evolve product and program management. This included introducing and/or evolving the tools, processes, skills, and culture to realize a full program of initiatives across the organization. Managed 80+ small to medium sized projects, across all departments, ranging from onboarding new clients, launching new products and services, to regulatory, new technology and/or process optimization. This role also oversaw all aspects of Information Systems including application and hardware support, change requests, and the evolution of processes, tools, and metrics. In addition, I performed the role of Project Manager leading various projects ranging from e-commerce supply chain optimization, and new client implementations, digital, data centre hardware refresh, to implementing a time and management tool.• Managed the implementation of a cloud-based time management and reporting solution using Kronos. • Managed an SAP WM warehouse optimization project.

Dynamic role leading various IT and supply chain optimization projects using Six Sigma and IT tools and methodologies. In addition, I lead a basic PMO which oversaw 70 projects. My first major project was to lead the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System which enables efficient production, and accurate production counts. I led a project team of 28, and $1 million budget. My next project was a Distribution diagnostic project. We identified over 600 ‘as is’ resource, technology, and process differences between regions and identified business requirements for one standard solution. This information was key, as I oversaw the design, master data, quality assurance, and implementation of one standard SAP EWM Distribution solution. During my time with Canada Bread I also developed a 12 year national trailer replacement strategy to save $2.6 million, and implemented a national supply chain scorecard with 4 key metrics.

This role oversaw leading various projects across the organization. Upon helping to complete a rollout of Cognos in the Finance department, I lead the on time implementation of an in-house software tool linked to Retek 7.0 to properly manage item information. My next project was to lead the design and quality management for a new POS system (Fujitsu). These projects used a full Project Life Cycles (PLC), ranged from $25,000 to over $1 million, and with teams of 2-5 full time project resources, and 4 to 15 part time project resources.

This role was a pivotal one in my career as it established my ability to lead supply chain projects with a distribution environment. I began my time performing inbound capacity planning activities for the distribution centres. This lead to performing an in-depth diagnostic of the complete inbound planning and receiving business processes throughout the organization. From there, I created and implemented a two year corporate inbound business plan to improve inbound planning and forecasting accuracy, increase throughput, and reduce receiving issues. Estimated annual savings of $2.5 million.

As Business Lead, I managed the Canadian implementation of a new Purchasing and e-Procurement business model for a cement manufacturer. My next project was the implementation of a new facilities management business model at an American university. During my time with PwC, I performed several supply chain diagnostics, performed inventory management process improvement activities, created a dynamic simulation model to determine the throughput of dry storage containers at a nuclear facility, and assisted with the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (R.C.M.) in a pulp and paper manufacturing plant.
