I am Chief Outreach Officer at Renew Systems, a nonprofit clean energy consultancy focused on instigating enhanced geothermal and long-duration energy storage projects. I also serve as Senior Editor at Project Regeneration, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to researching and promoting climate action pathways. I bring to these roles my extensive experience as a writer-researcher and editor on climate solutions, as well as my skills in strategic planning, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), and nonprofit leadership. At Regeneration I supervise the editorial process for the bi-monthly Waggle newsletter, which reaches over 10,000 readers, and oversee the team of 10 staff and contractors in creating and updating content for the Nexus database, a comprehensive resource for climate activists and educators. As a social scientist, my research focus has been on traditional, indigenous, and women's perspectives in transforming ecological and food systems. I co-authored a book on the regenerative movement worldwide, called Sustainable [R]evolution, featuring a foreword by Paul Hawken, and contributed to Drawdown and Regeneration, popular titles related to climate solutions. I ran a large volunteer program and co-created and oversaw climate-related events for Spirit Rock, an established nonprofit retreat center. I lived and worked abroad for several years as a researcher, educator and volunteer, and am proficient in Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Additionally, as a Climatebase Fellow, I participated in a selective program that connected me with leading climate organizations and mentors and provided opportunities to learn, network, and collaborate on impactful projects.
