I could start out telling you about my proven track record of creating, growing, and leading medical technology organizations... BUT I won’t. (Although, if interested, please scroll down to learn more).Instead, I’d like to share with you a personal story. I am the elder of two siblings, having spent my early years longing for a companion. However, when my sister Veronica was born, joy quickly turned to challenges of her chronic illness, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey for my family.Veronica's condition, marked by delayed development and complex health issues, shaped our family dynamics profoundly. My mother left a promising career to care for her, and the strain of being the sole provider weighed heavily on my father. My resolve to help Veronica led me to healthcare and medical technology. My career choice proved crucial in 2007, when Veronica was diagnosed with a tumor and life expectancy of a week. Through my network I facilitated an extraordinary operation in Russia that extended her life by a decade.Veronica's journey did not just inspire my career path. It’s a testament to my dedication to medical technology. Beyond innovation, it’s about real, impactful human stories. All of this gives me a unique vantage point that not many leaders have to deeply understand what patients and their caretakers experience.Over the past 20+ years I studied and worked in the business of medical innovation effectively and efficiently bringing novel technologies to market at scale. I partnered with physicians and universities to build medical device companies, raised millions in non-dilutive grants from NIH and NSF, and even more from VCs and family offices, acquired and sold medical device businesses, has been CEO of two medtech companies and helped over a dozen others to make strides in their quest to treat patients at scale. I’m also on a board of a healthcare provider (chain of clinics), advisor to a university on medtech commercialization, and on board of largest medtech trade association advocating for the needs of medtech companies, big and small. To medtech visionaries and investors my knowledge and experience means: - comprehensive and optimized strategy to reach our goals without any waste of time or resources- motivated team executing on time and within budget- the right chance for your technology or idea to have maximum impact on patients My mission is to get patients the best technology the mankind can come up with.
