Grant Writer at "Dream Big!" The organization provides Massachusetts girls and young women from low-income situations in elementary school through high school with sports equipment, scholarships, and attendance at college showcases. The programs boost confidence, well-being, and academic progress.

Staff Grant Writer for corporate and foundation funding. Responsible for prospect research, proposal preparation, and reports to steward relationships and secure funds to support our work to provide clothing, school supplies, and other essential items to Massachusetts low-income and homeless children 12 and under. Raised $5M+ since 2017, including winning a $100,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation, and support from Biogen, Bank of America, TJX Companies, and the Baupost Group, among others.

In 2011, I developed and taught a trio of fundraising certificate programs: Proposal Writing, Fundraising Management, and Capital Campaigns & Major Gifts both online and hybrid courses as part of the Graduate Nonprofit Management program. Starting in 2014, I designed and taught an online introductory course called "Fundraising Concepts and Practices."

The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children's® signature program, Bright Spaces,® has created and supported more play spaces in homeless shelters and other agencies in over 40 states for children to heal from trauma through play, and experience the joy of childhood. • Established a corporate and private foundation relations initiative, which generated almost $250,000 in the first year by cultivating and soliciting Bright Horizons Family Solutions’ national clients.• Researched national foundations, identified and qualified prospects, and wrote grant proposals.• Contributed to marketing materials and public presentations, especially those focused on corporate social responsibility, children and homelessness, employee volunteerism, etc.

Led the fundraising and communications team at EcoLogic to raise $2. million annually to empower rural and indigenous peoples to restore and protect tropical ecosystems in Central America and Mexico.• Supervised 6 staff and several interns; developed annual plans and budgets; participated in gift solicitation, oversaw acknowledgment, budgeting, tracking, reporting, and prospect research.• Directed marketing efforts; wrote and produced content for website, newsletters; e-News, publications, and promotional materials.• Focused on individual and major gifts, grant writing, and donor/public outreach events, including establishing the Jeffersonian Dinner annual fall benefit.

Strengthened and expanded national alumnae boards to further the annual fund, $50 million capital, and $75 million endowment goals for one of the nation’s top ten girls’ day and boarding schools by increasing alumnae loyalty and engagement. • Planned annual alumnae weekend and other cultivation events in Boston, New York, and on-campus (i.e., Alumnae Weekend, capital campaign closing gala for 250 people). • Organized Women in Philanthropy panel and the Woman of Distinction Award at premier university locations with noted participants/honorees. • Wrote proposals for endowment and educational programs, articles for the MHS alumnae magazine, and annual giving materials.
