PhD project: Policy learning in and between cities: how the learning processes shaping migration policymaking unfold at the local level

Research assistant for the MunMigra project, which aims to explore whether, how, and why Spanish cities respond to protecting precarious migrants in the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic, as a transboundary crisis.

Administrator for CONSOLIDATE (Consolidating, innovating and disseminating effective integration practices in Europe), an EU-funded project coordinated by Eurocities with support from MigrationWork, the European Network of Migrant Women and 12 local authorities. The project focuses on supporting local authorities to make their integration strategies more effective through three thematic communities of practice (employment, housing, and one stop shops).

Administrator for UNITES, a transnational project about co-designing integration strategies with stakeholders, migrants, and established residents, co-ordinated by the city network Eurocities and co-funded by the European Fund for Asylum, Migration, and Integration (AMIF).

Management of the EU-funded project “Victims with Irregular Migration Status’ Safe Reporting of Crimes”, including coordination of all partners to ensure the delivery of project tasks and milestones, monitoring of budget and financial reporting, and communication activities.

Main responsibilities included supporting the Migration Network Hub as part of the capacity-building mechanism of the Global Compact for Migration.

Project Assistant in the EU-funded project ''Integrated Border Management in the Silk Routes Countries'' (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan).

Responsible for organizational and logistical matters for the Vienna Migration Conference, which is the yearly flagship conference for ICMPD, and hosted around 500 participants.

Part of the local organizing committee for the 15​th IMISCOE Annual Conference on Europe, Migrations and the Mediterranean. Responsible for the elaboration of the conference booklet, coordination of volunteers and venue set-up.

Support to administrative tasks for the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Immigration (GRITIM-UPF): communication through the webpage, Twitter, distributive lists, Master's program; organization of the agenda and activities; relation with other research groups.

Learning Unit: Responsible for optimal management of both organizational and administrative aspects linked to the performance of internal training actions and the management of candidates in external trainings, ensuring the quality of management in both cases.

Administration of the PSP (Populations in Precarious Situations) Course: contact with participants and facilitators, organization of accommodation and transportation, preparation of pedagogical materials, management of financial issues.

Research on topics of interest for UNHCR, translation of documents, search for information on country of origin, compilation of statistics.

Preparation and conduction of classes to all levels, application and correction of exams and exercises.

Data collection, systematization of information, preparation of books reviews, reports, participation in academic activities and in the community.

Help in the budget’s control, elaboration of spreadsheets, documents and purchases requisitions, contact with suppliers.

Coordination of the team responsible for achieving corporate exchange goals and guaranteeing the quality of the service for the trainees (interviews, selection process, events), and the companies (visa process, salaries payment, evaluations).

Work with organizational climate research (questionnaires' application, focus groups' assistance, data entry and tabulation, administrative routines in general).

Planning of events for members and development of strategies to prospect new members.
