• Worked as the Clinical Informatics Analyst consultant at Lakeland Regional Health System supporting the laboratories of a high-volume ER hospital. The clinical lab processes around 300,000 samples a month. • Assisted the LIS team in scoping, data gathering, planning, scheduling, implementation, testing, and other tasks involved in the development and maintenance of laboratory interfaces.• Participated in weekly ticket review meetings with the LIS vendor and lab leadership. Worked on over 200 change requests. • Monitor the integrity of ASTM, HL7, reference laboratory, and instrument interfaces to two LISs (Epic and Cerner).• Assisted in the migration of Hollis Cancer Center from ClinLab to EPIC EMR.• Assisted in a four-phased lab remodel. All instrumentation had to be physically moved, reconnected to the network and re-validated. • Performed lab validation on new Roche PROs chemistry instruments that replaced the existing Siemens Vista. Responsible for other new interfaces: Cobas U601 urinalysis, and Cobas 6000. • Developed and tested new rules on various middleware systems.• Heavily involved in the implementation and testing of Roche Cobas 8100 Automation, and Sysmex Hematology lines. • Performed pre-analytical, and post-go-live support of new or existing systems. • Assisted in the development of comprehensive test plan scenarios to minimize the negative impact on staff and patient care• Develops and maintains user manuals for the Laboratory information system policies and procedures for new systems. Regularly reviews and, if necessary, revises the policies and procedures of LIS, assuring compliance with various regulatory agencies' standards. • Maintain relationships and work with vendors associated with the LIS interfaces.• Applications and Instrumentation include Cerner, Epic, Cobas Infinity, Sysmex Caresphere, Data Innovations Instrument Manager, BioRad Unity QC, and RALS.
