Currently CEO and Co-founder of Solstice AI, a startup applying AI to satellite imagery to identify solar panels and forecast solar power.Also currently an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, supervising graduate student research and contributing to energy-related research projects.Previously was a Senior Research Scientist at IBM Research Australia, working on reducing the carbon footprint of IBM's data centers, and optimally operating energy storage. Before that, spent three years as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, working together with several utility partners to study the impacts of electric vehicles on distribution networks, and to develop smart charging algorithms for optimal load shifting.
