What We Do:Runway to Freedom is committed to empowering survivors of domestic violence by funding local organizations that provide individuals and families with the education and resources needed to get out of dangerous situations and start living healthy lives.Since 2010, Runway to Freedom has been raising awareness and funds for local domestic violence programs through social media and our annual fashion show, live auction, and raffle.Our Vision:Runway to Freedom wants to ensure that there will always be a place of safety with programs for survivors of abuse, regardless of their story. Our long-term goal is to create a safe home for families hiding from their abusers. While safe homes do exist in Seattle, they are often at capacity and have to turn people away. In addition to meeting the overwhelming need of safe housing, our home will allow families to get safe access to doctors, therapists, nannies, and caregivers, as well as outreach programs to empower them to live great lives.

As an Alumni Programs Officer I assisted in outreach efforts directed at increasing awareness, engagement, and support for Alumni Programs, Evergreen's Foundation, and the Annual Fund. The position revolved primarily around event development and management, as well as alumni relations. In addition, I hosted alumni who returned to campus for lectures and workshops in current academic programs. Through the duration of this contract I remained as a social media professional for the college.

Over several years I developed and managed recruiting territories in twelve eastern states and the District of Columbia. As part of my in-state recruitment efforts I cultivated numerous relationships at four Washington community colleges for transfer students and their constituents. While in this position I created, grew, and maintained Evergreen's Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram accounts. Because of this early work Evergreen's social footprint became a highly successful platform for communications and marketing. This work continued in my position as Alumni Programs Officer.
