Julian Busquets Moura was born and raised in Washington DC to a Puerto Rican mother and a Brazilian father. He founded the film production company Veedro Films when he moved to São Paulo in 2011, which focuses on character driven documentaries. Julian is a filmmaker that embeds himself with his characters for weeks/months at a time, creating close bonds to document intimate moments ranging from threatened tribes in the Amazon to skateboard subculture in Cuba. Julian sits on the board of the The People's Planet Project focused on equipping indigenous communities with filmmaking skills and cartography tools to capture environmental change on the ground, first hand. Currently he's in post-production for the feature length documentary, The Spirit of Tatá, about a 103 year old shaman who dies while passing on his ancestral wisdom to his tribe, the Yawanawá. He is also in pre-production for the episodic series, Women of Earth, a glimpse into the women that have safeguarded ancestral wisdom over generations throughout the four corners of the world.
