- Development & execution of all aspects of the organisation’s 100+ annual event schedule for almost 9 years, delivering in excess of 780 events.- Managing I Choose SA for Industry campaign including three events per month on an industry of focus. Overseeing every event aspect in addition to strategic planning and implementation, identification of speakers and industry leaders, event content selection.- Bringing international and interstate media famils to South Australia, which involves identifying and selecting delegates, itinerary design and roll out, travel logistics and post event evaluation.- Managing Regional Showcase, overseeing day-to-day operations of all elements of an award program, from securing inbound sponsorships to promotional campaigns, judging, and the final celebration evenings.- Managing Fast Movers helping to grow nominations and attendance year- on-year. Including event management of the launch and two celebration events, but also working closely with sponsors and program partners to ensure all expectations were exceeded.- Rolling out Activating Adelaide which involved management of interstate events, and previously our expat database.- Directly managing a team of 2 full-time event coordinators and periodic interns providing experience in performance reviews, nurturing motivation and growth and people management.- Managing multiple significant budgets concurrently, consisting of both a financial budget, but also the organisations contra and in- kind support. Developing sound negotiation skills and an ability to find, foster and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships year on year, while also creating robust processes to ensure benefits were both received and delivered.- Extensive membership and database management including data cleaning and system upgrades.- Extensive experience across all function sizes and types, from intimate luncheons to large-scale and complex offsite events.

In addition to the above responsibilities I am also proud of my below achievements during my time at Brand South Australia.- Being a Member of Brand South Australia’s Executive Management Team for 5 years and being able to marry two of my strengths, big picture thinking and detail-oriented process, to help provide valuable direction for the organisation. While looking primarily after the events department I have also helped with the general operational needs of the organisation.- Working extensively and harmoniously with the state’s largest government departments including Defence SA, Department of Industry and Skills (DIS), Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA), and Department of Trade, Tourism, and Investment. This has entailed activating events and programs on their behalf, and helping to integrate the government’s content, key messages and speakers into Brand South Australia’s own events.- Acquiring a great knowledge of the state’s event venues, and an extensive network of beneficial contacts.- Running the 2018 International Great Wine Capitals AGM in South Australia over 5 days, ensuring the successful delivery of 8 high end, unique and experiential events for international representatives from some of the world’s most prominent wine regions.- Managing Brand South Australia’s involvement in Entrepreneur’s Week from 2015–2019, including the formation of Entrepreneur’s Week as a brand, and coordinating the Entrepreneur’s Week Advisory Committee alongside DIS. I oversaw the week’s general marketing, strategic direction and curation, and final delivery of the week’s key events including each opening event for 350+ people with a key note speaker followed by concurrent industry and entrepreneurial presentations across three rooms.- I have had the pleasure of working alongside some of South Australia’s largest brands and events such as the Fringe Festival, Festivals Adelaide, CheeseFest + Ferment, Royal Adelaide Show and many more.
