Data Scientist on the Experimentation Platform team (ExP). We aim to push innovation at Microsoft by offering a large-scale platform to perform A/B tests and controlled rollouts, bringing trustworthy analyses to data scientists, engineers, and product managers from all across Microsoft (e.g. xBox, Office, Edge, Teams, Bing, Azure).I lead work to enable trustworthy experimentation in VS Code, collaborating with teams to level-up their ability to make data-driven decisions. This includes improving their systems for monitoring data quality issues, educating folks on how to create better metrics and experiments for more informed decision making, and analyzing their long-term user retention.

As a part of ExP, I helped VS Code onboard to our experimentation platform and start running trustworthy A/B experiments. In that work, I investigated and helped fix key data quality issues that prevented advanced analysis, created and improved A/B metrics to measure user satisfaction, and educated others on how to design high-quality metrics and experiments.

As a teaching assistant, I created course content, such as labs, homework, and exams, to drive student learning. I also worked in lab sessions to answer student questions and graded their work.Classes: Programming in C, Systems Programming, and Programming Applications for Engineers.

I was a research assistant in the Cognition and Learning Lab. I helped postdoctoral students complete their cognitive psychology research, testing subjects, collecting and scoring data, performing data analysis, and programming experiments.

I upgraded an internal tool for the Mobile Ads team to create more efficient debugging processes. Through this work, I coordinated with several teams to incorporate new data sources into the tool's FlumeC++ pipeline and restructured the tool's BigTable schema to optimize lookup speeds. To incorporate this work into the existing tool, I modified the HTML user interface to display new data using JSLayout control structures.

I designed and implemented a code generator in Python to speed up responses from YouTube's backend and increased the team's testing suite to ensure correct usage of YouTube Infrastructure's APIs.

I worked on one of Qualcomm's testing teams, adding dynamically created analyses about database performance to an internal webpage. I also debugged new Qualcomm technologies using Android logcat and reported findings.
