As Implementation Director my tasks ranged from project conception and proposal writing to supervision and management of implementation. During this period I oversaw two projects for Telefonica Foundation under the Connected Rural Schools initiative managing a team over 20 people.

I also work alongside national technical teams providing guidance about OLPC technological ecosystems, trying to find solutions customized to each country context. As an effect, I need to be in constant contact with OLPC’s engineering team, providing constant feedback about how the company technology is working in the field. As a Senior scientist at LEC, I work into a multidisciplinary group constituted by computer scientists, pedagogues, artists, designers, psychologists, philosophers among others, developing and testing innovative software and computers in education methodologies. I also coordinate a group of web developers in the creation of software prototypes for experiments in schools, acting as a mediator between the theoretical researchers and programmers.

As a Web Learning Environments Developer, I lead a small team of programmers implementing Virtual Learning Environments and Internet games in Python and PHP. I work with a senior group of researchers, translating their theoretical concepts and ideas into products. I also work in the development of the technical team, making sure they have a basic understanding of the underlying pedagogical concepts involved in the products they are developing.

I supported senior scientists in the development of distance learning research, building web infrastructures for the implementation of trainings, customizing tools for data collection and analysis and developing prototype software.
