My interest in Computer Engineering and Digital Signal Processing has a storied history. Around the time that I grasped object permanence, I was gifted a RadioShack AM/FM Radio Kit from my father and immediately began my obsession with electronics.From that interest, I took it upon my self to plunge into that almost magical electronic world. By the time I was in 4th grade, I had already taken in interest in building small robots using electronic parts and had learned to solder. As the years went by, I was given my first computer to start writing papers for high school; however, the first thing that I wanted to know was how does it work? As a naturally inquisitive person I found myself taking it apart and putting it back together, learning how to program, and eventually understanding how those linked together. I fell in love with this and dreamt of what I could accomplish.Almost as if by design, I found myself placed at Purdue in Computer Engineering with the idea that I would go into computer architecture. However, what I didn't know is that a small elective class in Mechanical Engineering would revitalize my first interest. Learning about acoustics set me on the path to my current career. The combination between Computer Engineering and Acoustics lead to me pursuing Digital Signal Processing options when I finished up my schooling.Now, I find myself in the position leading an initiative to design and develop a variety of Digital Signal Processing components for both Software and Hardware. I have also participated in the Reverse Engineering of Wireless Systems and Software Emulation of similar systems. The tinkering never ends and I always find myself burrowing deeper into this niche rabbit hole.
