I have spent my entire adult life exploring how to teach English to young people across the world. Why? Because I enjoy helping young people achieve their dreams and learning English is often a great way of doing so. Learning English can help a person find the career they want, the country in which they want to live, even the family they want to have. I have had that experience; born in Russia, learning English has helped me live and work in China, Australia, and now the United States of America.I have worked on this topic in three main ways. 1. Academic researchI have conducted research into how scientific breakthroughs can help us better support people in learning English. I have a Masters and PhD on the science of education and 20 academic articles exploring this point.2. In-person teaching and administrationI have taught in-person English lessons in China and the United States, and worked in educational managerial positions in Russia. One particularly enjoyable experience was when I worked as Assistant Director of Study for the Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages program in Voronezh, Russia.3. Online EducationI'm passionate about for using technology to improve English education in the future. For example, Ihave developed and run a company that provides online lessons for students from Russia, theUkraine, Belarus, and China to pass English language exams.
