Current• First state government affairs position for the foundation responsible for driving public policy agenda across the nation while building state grassroots advocacy network on behalf of the 1.6 million patients living with Parkinson’s.• Built and manage a team of two government relations managers, communications officer, and a director of advocacy. Responsible for the hiring and management of contract legislative consultants in target states with a budget of $350,000.• Currently managing and directly lobbying in 15 states pushing proactive legislation related to State Funding for Parkinson’s with a goal of securing $100 million in the next two years, Biomarkers, Genetic Testing Protections, Data Privacy and Clinical Trial Access. • Recently led a 10 state campaign for proactive legislation on behalf of the Foundation with 5 states signing onto landmark legislation on behalf of the Parkinson’s community.• Appointed by Deputy CEO as Onboarding Ambassador for new hire quarterly presentations across business units of the foundation.• Recruited over 3,000 advocates since 2021 through live webinars, geo-targeted email lists, and state-based outreach.• Featured panelist on Michael J. Fox Podcast reaching more than 10K downloads per episode. • Recipient of The Advocacy Association’s Top 20 in 2023 Advocacy Professionals Award (October 2023).
