About Julia Kohn
A Master of City and Regional Planning student at Rutgers University and recent graduate from Cornell who is excited by projects that improve urban life for communities.Through academic, professional, and volunteer experiences, I have considered how various disciplines in planning can uniquely affect the daily lives of urban families, and have grown to be specifically interested in transportation planning, bike and pedestrian safety, and geographic information systems (GIS). I am particularly grateful to have now explored planning across three different continents, and to have been working closely with nonprofit organizations over recent years. These experiences have significantly influenced the ways in which I think as an individual and have introduced me to people and opportunities that allow me to grow.While working towards my second degree, I am eager to explore internships and planning roles where I can contribute to projects that impact urban communities.
