I provide oversight for the $4 million federally funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) implementation. CCBHC is a gold-standard of behavioral health care as a client-centered, whole-health national model of excellence. One of the aspects I enjoy most about my job is leading strategic collaborations with community partners, state officials, and teams within our organization to transform and enhance the healthcare landscape throughout Colorado.Key Achievements:• Successfully led the organization-wide implementation and compliance to 115 CCBHC criteria, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care standards.• Improved the client experience through an in-depth community needs assessment that evaluated the status of mental health and recovery care in the AMHR community. • Orchestrated the development of a trauma-focused learning program which will result in over 200 clinicians becoming subject matter experts in Evidence-Based Practices like TF-CBT, EMDR, and DBT.• Implemented a robust population health management model that utilizes measurement-based care and real-time data to ensure the right people get the right care at the right time. At CMHIFL, I began as a student intern, was hired as a Clinical Therapist II in October of 2012, and progressed to becoming the Director of the Music Therapy Clinical Training Program in 2017. I utilized evidenced-based and trauma-informed group and individual therapy that resulted in improved health outcomes for adults with co-occurring and mental health diagnoses. I provided clinical supervision, mentorship, and developmental guidance to student interns to help them excel in their current and future job responsibilities while managing and overseeing the MT clinical training program.Key Achievements: • Achieved a 150% increase in academic contracts as the Director of the Music Therapy Internship Program by proactively collaborating with universities and developing new marketing materials. • Attracted, developed, and motivated an outstanding, diverse, high-performing intern team through effective leadership, recruitment, training, and mentorship.• Developed clinical documentation improvement plans with discipline stakeholders and facilitated hospital-wide training on the guidelines. • As a member of member of the hospital unit’s management group for eight years, I promoted recovery principles, facilitated professional growth of team members, mediated conflicts, and made critical decisions related to risk management, treatment philosophy, and team culture.
