We are southern California’s first collective of female Freedivers and Spearfishers dedicated to educating and celebrating women in these sports. The collective focuses on mentoring new female Freedivers and Spearas to grow their skills safely and successfully, while providing experienced members a rich network of female dive buddies and dive related opportunities.SoCal Dive Babes encourages spearfishing as a lifestyle, shifting the cultural conversation away from trophy hunting and elitist attitudes, towards one of sustainability, accessibility, and community. We use the sport of Freediving to dive deeper into ourselves, explore the underwater world, and improve our hunting skills.Through our regularly scheduled shore dives, island boat dives, international dive trips, trainings, community collaborations, and our daily WhatsApp group dialogue, we’ve built a tight-knit group of adventurous women who are learning, laughing, and honing their craft together.

To me, there is no better way to spend my spare time than to be sharing my stoke for adventure, adrenaline, puzzles and the pure joy that comes along with rock climbing. Between the epic, emotional battles on the rock wall, the fake mustache climbing sessions, the numerous games of lava monster (where the ground is 'lava' and monsters chase you across the walls), and the most varying range of emotions you've ever seen at once (laughter, crying, joy, courage, pride, fear) -- the job of coaching children has to be the coolest, most fulfilling position I've ever held.
