Speech Language Pathologist
Current• Provided maternity leave coverage for school district speech-language pathologist (Mendham Township, NJ).• Provided group treatment to a caseload of 45-50 school-aged children presenting with characteristics of a variety of communication-based impairments including those related to articulation, fluency, difficulties with pragmatics and processing, as well as students requiring additional instruction/support to meet age and grade-level expectations involving speech, listening, and language. Therapy focused primarily on improving all aspects of communication skills, including expressive and receptive language, social communication, cognitive aspects of communication, fluency, and articulation. • Drafted speech and language initial and re-evaluation reports for students qualifying for services as needed.• Attended and participated in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.• Served as a liaison for parents, educational staff, and administration regarding students’ communicative capabilities, academic strengths and weaknesses related to communication, as well as progress on speech and language-related goals.• Assessments administered: Comprehensive Assessment of Spoken Language, Second Edition (CASL-2), TAPS-4: A Language Processing Skills Assessment, Receptive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test, Test of Narrative Language, Second Edition (TNL-2), Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation, Third Edition (GFTA-3), Social Language Development Test-Elementary: Normative Update (SLDT-E: NU)
