This involved soliciting classes from the student body, faculty, staff and alumni. I curated the classes and worked with community safety, the conferences and events department, and the AV department to make sure the classes were safe and had the equipment that they needed. I gave feedback on homework to students in first year physics. They didn't read it.

I conducted an exhaustive literature review of mathematical modeling in biofilms to inform future research plans for the post-doctoral researchers as well as professors in the porous media research group at the IMFT. This involved reading over 60 academic papers, looking for models that accounted for the biofilm's non-Newtonian fluid properties and how nutrient diffusion affects flow at the boundary of the film.

I self-taught the basics of microelectronic design, fabrication, and testing. I learned lab techniques like sputtering film deposition, photolithography, and chemical etching in order to analyze film thickness with a profilometer for an outside contractor working on new semiconductor materials. The research group was also working on organic transistors and piezoelectric sensors, projects which introduced me to scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and chemical vapor deposition.
