I have been working for the Australian arm of global technology media publisher, IDG Communications since 2005 within its IT industry specific publication - ARN.During my time at ARN, I've been writing and producing content online and in print, covering stories on a wide cross section of technology sectors, businesses and upcoming trends in the market. I've also established and maintained professional relationships with a wide variety of valuable IT industry figures and helped to build ARN's brand. I have done this through events, engaging and building the brand's readership through social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter.Other important skills that I have harnessed include writing clear and concise content, meeting strict editorial deadlines, and liaising with key industry figures to expand and explore story ideas and opportunities. I have also expanded my skills and have been actively involved in the shortlist committee and presenting at our annual ARN Women in ICT Awards and the ARN Innovation Awards.

At the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), I was brought on to help launch 'Next' their premier small business technology section of the newspaper. During my time at the SMH I was responsible for producing relevant content for Next, liaising with relevant personnel for content ideas, layout and feature stories. At the time, Next was a weekly section within the Business pages and meeting deadlines were a top priority as well as having exclusive content.

Sourcing and writing stories about the IT channel industry across both magazine and online mediums. Keeping up to date on the latest market trends and how they may potentially effect the IT channel. My role also included writing feature articles that focused on providing information about specific technologies.

Overnight Express was a country music radio program. I was responsible for putting content together and presenting a 5 hour show, talking to listeners and getting feedback.
