People are absolutely fascinating. Every single person has a unique way of understanding and interacting with the world, and I want to learn about all of them: every thought, interaction, reaction, and person. Seeing as that is a little broad, I decided to focus my insatiable curiosity on the concept of human interactions, a study known as sociology. Pair that with too many theater classes and you have what became my freshman year of college. Soon it occurred to me that Shakespeare is not one of the people I wanted to know everything about. So, at the beginning of sophomore year, I switched my theater major for one in public relations. It was at this point that all the puzzle pieces came together. In sociology, I learn how people interact with and affect one another. In public relations, I learn how to interact with and affect other people. The varying influences each of these fields of study have on one another is incredible! I can go from one class on how media influences society to another on how to create the very media I just discussed. It's as though I have a backstage pass to how media works.
