In 2017, Julia earned her Master's Degree in Biology with an emphasis in conservation and environmental stewardship with Program Dragonfly with Miami University and the Phoenix Zoo. A random set of circumstances brought Julia into the field of education where she was tasked with creating an Entrepreneurship Program at a local middle school. She earned her teaching certification while designing curriculum and creating the program at Mountain Sky Middle School. Working as an educator in this Title I school was a rewarding and eye opening experience. Personal Finance education is so desperately needed in our educational system. Julia embraced this as her mission and received the Arizona Council on Economics Education Elementary Economics Educator of the Year award in 2019.
