As a member of the manufacturing engineering team, I am responsible for designing and implementing semi-automated production equipment. All assembly stations are designed with key error-proofing features and safeguards to ensure that the products meet specifications while the processes are intuitive and safe for operators. Skills involved: mechanical design, PFMEA, process control, 3D CAD Modelling (Pro-E), GD&T, PLC programming, electrical circuit and enclosure design, sensor selection and integration, pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design, human machine interface design, assembly, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

• Conducted research on the company’s acceptance criteria for bio-prosthetic heart valves. This contributed to an increase in production yield of quality heart valves. • Designed new equipment and modified existing tools to enhance manufacturing processes and ergonomics for technicians • Conducted installation and operational qualifications on process equipment• Designed and sourced components for an automated solution dispenser system which allows operators to fill 200 jars (accurate to 95ml of solution) in less than 15 minutes

• Developed a standardized tool to calculate mechanical energy consumption and savings• Using Visual Basic programming and Microsoft Excel, created templates to optimize energy study reviews and customer opportunity assessment forms• Provided support for BC Hydro Power Smart Engineers during site inspections

• Designed test routes, carried out measurements, and aided in the set-up and completion of TransLink’s Bus Technology Demonstration and Alternative Fuels Project• Collected and analyzed data for the Integrated Waste Hydrogen Utilization Project• Constructed a database of different bus types and used the information to program a Bus Life Cycle Cost Analysis report generator
