I am delighted to work with the industrial partners at the AMRC, a world leading collaboration of academia and industry. I have a diverse and fascinating role, ensuring that all interested parties are able to achieve the greatest possible benefit from the AMRCs partnership model. The AMRC carries out research related to a broad range of manufacturing technologies spanning the TRL scale and with many and varied stakeholders. Our industrial partnerships are the cornerstone of our activity. Prior to becoming Partnership Engagement Manager, I was Quality and Environmental Manager for the AMRC. My responsibilities included maintaining our registrations to AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 17025 and ISO 13485. With a diverse team of around 500 staff in my remit, I relished the challenge that every day brought, for me and my small central quality and environmental department ensuring the smooth running of this complex group.Before working at the AMRC, I was a Director’s PA in an SME. This gave me a great foundation to move into quality, as well as a good breadth of transferable skills.Working at the AMRC has given me incredible opportunities including developing a fabulous network within the AMRC, The University of Sheffield and amongst our industrial partners. I love that I am able to find out about so much of the activity in high value manufacturing and that I am able to interact with influencers and engage in a wide range of different activities. I hold an MSc in Environmental Management, an MSc in Corporate Management Psychology, NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Six Sigma Green Belt.
