BNP Paribas, a privately owned company based in Paris, acquired Bank of the West, based in San Francisco, and declared a corporation wide mandate to lead the industry in wealth advising by “helping clients do well while doing good.” In order to turn that mandate into concrete actions within the new and bespoke wealth management division, I'm working to create a comprehensive strategic philanthropy and purposeful investing platform that can be integrated into every client’s portfolio and implemented worldwide through a global wealth advisory network.In my engagement as Head of Strategic Philanthropy for BNP Paribas, I am building an advisory team that uses industry best practices to:• Guide Family Wealth Advisory clients in evaluating impact vs. risk in their portfolio allocation• Help clients evaluate and measure the impact of their philanthropy• Assist clients who want to set up private foundations, charitable trust or personal portfolios• Create opportunities for clients to network with like-minded investors and learn more about sustainability and philanthropy topics• Offer clients philanthropic and purpose investing options across all asset classes

Led the development team to fundraise for $8 million dollar annual budget and participated in the $95 million UCSF capital campaign. Reports directly to Nobel Laureate Stanley B. Prusiner, M.D. renowned for discovering and advancing the understanding and treatment prion disease. The Silver Giving Foundation is a family foundation which operates from a $90 million endowment. Managed a team of two direct reports.Strategy• Established all processes for awards, grants, evaluation and programming support.• Chaired the San Francisco Council of Educators and Administrators supporting afterschool networks.Development• Raised significant matching dollars per year to support foundation related student services.• Established new systems for grant making which streamlined donor/grantee communications. Public and Professional Relations• Supervised numerous community collaborations responsible for fund-raising, donor relations, event planning.• Managed and facilitated foundation board members events, meetings and board affairs.

Launched first marketing and sales campaigns to introduce Shafer wines throughout the East Coast, Southern California, Bay Area and Napa Valley restaurant and retail community. Grew sales by 30% YoY.
