•Attend weekly Collaborate Learning Teams meetings as a content expert for grade levels K-6 to assist with developing common understanding of standards, planning for instruction, analyzing common assessments data, and engage teams in reflective conversation •Monitor school wide ELA data and facilitate data meetings with teachers to inform instructional decisions •Design and deliver professional development to staff members on various topics which align to the Virginia Literacy Act and structured literacy instruction•Maintain current knowledge of state laws, regulations and standards governing literacy instruction•Enter into coaching relationships with teachers to include modeling lessons, co-planning and engaging in reflective conversations aimed at increasing student achievement •Organize and manage various community engagement events to include parent workshops, curriculum nights, and celebrations that promote the love of reading and offers supports for increasing student achievement

•Collaborate with school staff to determine student needs and match students various programs•Communicate with families regarding registration, transportation, program information•Manage registration process for 80+ students across 3 programs•Communicate with transportation to ensure timely arrival of students •Facilitate fire and bus evacuation drills to ensure staff and student safety •Hire personnel for instructional and support staff positions •Develop master schedule for classes to ensure support from ESOL, Special Education, math specialist and SESL counselor

•Review lessons and plan for props and Total Physical Response movements•Deliver lessons with fidelity and in a timely manner (25 minutes)•Establish an environment to build rapport with students•Provide frequent rewards to students to encourage continued effort and performance in speaking English•Provide written feedback for parents about the content of the lesson as well as student strengths and areas of growth
